Advancing Materials Joining Technology
The products we support push the boundaries of what is possible. To support this effort, we are committed to staying on the cutting edge of the current technologies that can offer superior products at lower costs. Our employees are expected to strive for excellence in their respective fields and to stay up to date with current research efforts in their field.
One research project we have going on, with support from Arizona State University and the Office of Naval Research, is a design of experiments in the field of Diffusion Bonding for Sheet Laminate Additive Manufacturing. The research is ultimately trying to solve a liquation type cracking mechanism that can occur at elevated temperatures in Transient Liquid Phase Diffusion Bonds. Publications from this research can be found below:
Solid-State Diffusion Bonding Inconel 718 to Itself for Sheet Laminate Additive ManufacturingOur staff actively participate in the American Welding Society. We support the AWS D17.1, D17.2 and C3 industry code committees. We share our internal research and findings with the welding community to further the welding industry. We actively participate in and support other various activities and efforts through the American Welding Society.
